1. Introduction The Legrand 6 Port Cat 5e / Cat 6 Network Interface Modules (P/N AC1012 / AC1013) provide a convenient structured interconnect for residential networking applications. The Network Interface Modules (AC1013 shown in Figure 1) have six Category 5e or Category 6 rated RJ45 connectors which are typically connected (punched down) to room locations. The modules also come with two empty Keystone openings, which may be used for additional Cat 5e/Cat 6 interfaces or as an ADO, or for use with other insert types. Services such as Internet access over a switch/router are then jumpered to the locations using the front panel jacks (jumpers available separately). The modules are two bay products and come with a two bay bracket (P/N 364819-01) for mounting in any On-Q style enclosure Figure 1 2. Description The 6-Port Cat 5e/Cat6 Network Interface Modules (P/N AC1012 / AC1013) consist of a bracket, a plate with two Keystone openings and a block of six Category 5e/Category 6 rated connections. NOTE: Part numbers AC1014 and AC1015 are also available with 12 Cat 5e/Cat6 connections. Cat 5e/Cat 6 cables from the room locations are punched down onto the appropriate 110 style connections on the rear of the Cat 5e/Cat6 block following T568A recommendations (see Figure 2).

3. Installation Once the Cat 5e/Cat6 cables have been punched down, the module may be installed into an On-Q style enclosure by attaching the module to the included bracket with push pins in each corner and installing the bracket in the enclosure with the On-Q style tabs and pushpin. The plate may also be installed in a Bay style multi-bay bracket.
