Intelligent Power Distribution Units - Switched APPLICATION
FEATURES
• “True RMS” (root-mean-square) Input Current Monitoring provides accurate current reading • Over-current protection is provided for each branch circuit via UL-listed Bussman SC fuses • Remote Management provides complete configuration and control to remotely switch on/off or reboot locked-up devices plugged into the unit • SNMP alerts administrators when power, temperature, and environmental draws have exceeded defined parameters • Power Up Sequencing controls the interval in which equipment is powered up or down to avoid cumulative in-rush current • Each switched PDU offers environmental monitoring. An external probe designed to monitor temperature and relative humidity is available separately.
SPECIFICATION
PDUs shall be 1RU (1.75") in height and fit a standard 19" rack. PDUs shall include branch circuit protection with ULlisted Bussman SC fuses per UL 60950-1 and provide input current monitoring via LED display. Current monitoring shall use “True RMS” (root-mean-square) technology to ensure an accurate reading. LED Display shall show 0.0A to 9.5A displayed in half-ampere increments, 10.0 to 30.0A displayed in whole-ampere increments. PDU shall be manufactured using a painted steel enclosure with corrosion-resistant finish. PDU shall also use industrial grade receptacles utilizing industrial-rated plastic material and metal conductors. All internal connection points shall use “quick-connects and IDC” with no exposed wires or connections. PDUs shall provide remote management and configuration to switch on/off or reboot locked-up devices. All Switched PDUs shall allow multiple users to simultaneously manage power distribution from multiple locations. SNMP provides alerts when power, temperature, or relative humidity have exceeded the thresholds defined by the user. Unit shall also include a serial and network port. PDUs shall provide Power Up Sequencing driven by internal hardware to avoid cumulative in-rush current. PDUs shall also include integrated capability for monitoring temperature and relative humidity and shall provide 2 ports for external sensor cords.
