Introduction to Prayer Ministry
This important seminar is recommended for everyone and anyone interested in prayer ministry – including pastors, leaders, teachers, and pastoral carers. Session 1 will comprise an outline of the Biblical basis for our model for prayer ministry; an explanation of what prayer ministry is in relation to the healing of the heart’s wounds and its connection with our minds (sanctification, transformation and inner healing); examples of how our hearts become wounded from our earliest formation into adulthood. Session 2 describes typical debilitating responses to the wounding of our hearts in terms of lies we believe, and judgments we make about those who have wounded or neglected us. The subsequent vows/ determinations we make to protect our hearts, can so often lie hidden and dormant, but become increasingly powerful drivers for negative behaviours and patterns which rob us of our destiny, joy or ministry. They form the red buttons we involuntarily respond to, the habits or patterns or addictions we cannot seem to shake. Session 3 will outline the biblical prayer model we use to ‘unhook’ from these negative destructive forces in our lives including a demonstration and corporate prayer.
