ioi toolbox access intelligent user management for Xinet portal The IOI Tools Access application is a powerful, featurerich extension to Xinet’s Admin. Access provides a secure, intuitive interface for system administrators to manage Xinet Portal users, while providing new users a simple web-based form to request access to Xinet Portal. Access also automates the entire approval process for administrators and includes seamless Active Directory (AD) support, and allows the ability to grant or deny access through email notifications. Once a user is approved, they can request lost login/password or extensions, and maintain their own contact information. The optional two-tiered user information form allows for full user details, custom metadata, and offloading approvals to designated domains and users. Once they login, users only see volumes and metadata for their current site. With Access, Xinet administrators now have one comprehensive tool to use for granting access and setting parameters on a site-by-site basis (including sites on the same server), as well as the ability to monitor client access and generate activity reports that show all files accessed as thumbnails and full event history. The sleek interface can also be branded to meet the needs of each customer’s corporate identity requirements; most elements of the user-interface can be completely customized into 13 languages including the text within registration, emails, admin GUI and other client-facing functions.
