Public Health is Now One of the Fastest Growing Majors The number of public health conferrals increased from 1,193 in 1994 to 1,469 in 2004. The number of public health degrees awarded increased to 9,661 by 2014.

Increase in Number of Institutions Offering Undergrad PH Degrees In 1994, 54 institutions awarded undergraduate public health degrees with an average of 11 degrees per institution. By 2014, 224 institutions awarded undergraduate public health degrees with an average of 33 degree conferrals per institution.
