Day 1 Depart from Tucson. Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv the following day. Day 2 Arrive and transfer to hotel in Tel Aviv. Take a walk along the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and Overnight in Tel Aviv. Day 3 Morning departure for Caesarea The Roman Capital of Judea during the days of Christ. Here the Apostle Peter ministered to the Centurion Cornelius. We will see the Amphitheatre and aqueduct. We will continue on to Mt Carmel where Elijah challenged King Ahab and the prophets of Baal. Then travel through the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, the Armageddon battlefield, Overnight in Galilee. Day 4 We start the day at Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. Then we will continue to the town of ancient Sepphoris. Herod’s capital and the largest city of the Galilee in the days of Jesus. Then on to Safed (Tsafat). Overnight Galilee. Day 5 We begin our day with ride on a fisherman’s boat on the Sea of Galilee. In Capernaum (Jesus’ adult home town) we will visit the ruins
of an ancient synagogue and Peter’s home. We will also see Korazin. Then we will travel to a big field to hear Steve’s teaching about the feeding of the 5,000. Overnight Galilee. Day 6 Morning departure for Banias, ancient Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus was recognized as the Messiah by His disciples. We will continue to Gamla and see the ruins of an ancient synagogue from the days of Jesus; then to the Jordan River for an optional baptism! Overnight Galilee. Day 7 Morning departure for Arbel (A Maccabbee hideout), Beit Shean (you’ll see!), Jordan Valley, and Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Then we go for a swim in the Dead Sea. Over-night Dead Sea area. Day 8 We start the day at Ein Gedi, (One of King David’s hide-outs) an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea. Then we will ascend by cable car to the mountaintop fortress of Masada. Overnight Jerusalem. Day 9 We will start the day at the Mt of Olives; see the Kidron Valley, Gethsemane, the Holy Sepulcher,
Arab market, and finally the Tower of David. Overnight Jerusalem. Day 10 We begin by going to the Temple Mount, and the Old City of Jerusalem then on to the Western Wall, and Western Wall tunnels, the City of David and Hezekiah’s Tunnel. Overnight Jerusalem. Day 11 Today we visit the Holocaust Museum, the Temple Model, Israel Museum and Shrine of the Book. Overnight Jerusalem Day 12 Morning departure for the Garden Tomb, the Eastern Gate, and Bethlehem. Farewell Dinner. Airport for late evening departure. Arrive in Tucson about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
