At exactly 1:30PM (exactly, we checked) on Saturday the Twenty-First of September, approximately 15 VC Venturers stormed angrily down the main road of BP Park Samford picketing for ‘Equal Rights’ for Venturers. According to the offended Venturers, the trigger for the protest was a claim made by Alex for the rights to a day off, although the extreme reaction by VC indicated that trouble had been brewing for quite some time. Perhaps the long-suffered abuse by Rovers is to blame, or perhaps the ridicule of the Scouts was the real driving force behind the response, but either way, something is going to have to change. As stated by a protestor, “Venturers are people too”, and anyone who treats them otherwise will feel the wrath of VC. (Read more on page 6)

It’s not easy to get bored at Agoonoree, and to prove it, we have listed a whole lot of things to keep you occupied during your free time!
Visit the canteen Eating awesome food makes everything better, and the best food can be found up at admin at the canteen. If you’re hungry for chocolate, chips, ice cream and other junk food, just head on over and visit the supercool venturers who will take a little useless metal off your hands in exchange for the food of your choice. While you’re there, why don’t you come visit us, the Agoonollamas (Agoonoram team). We’d love to hear what’s going on in the troops! Canteen opening times are 11am-12 noon and 4 -5pm. Hang out with your guests at AgoonFM If you’re bored, AgoonFM won’t be! Bring your guests over to the parade ground and chill with all the cool kids on camp. Of course cool kids are cooler with ice creams (purchased from the canteen). Be nice to Venturers Don’t annoy them because we manage Agoonoram so we will name and shame you!!!!! Mwahahahahaha Check out the Gateways! Our Monopoly theme has given us some indescribably amazing gateways. What better way to waste time than standing outside another troop staring at their marvellous creation (armed with a Cadbury chocolate from the canteen). Free high fives Give other patrols free high fives because... Just because. Bungalow Relax, make new friends and prove your artistic prowess in an hour of crafts over at the Bungalow. On a side note, the Venturers bungled the first attempt at raising the Bungalow, but we got it right eventually. Please use it!!!

The screaming from last night was from Curlew who had just realised that her beloved owl Twit-Twoo was missing. A little birdie told us that the owl was going to be on ransom for half a kilo of bacon or 3 gnomes. Donations are highly sought after from the public. Here is a photo of the missing owl. One scout, BJ was lucky enough to get a photo of him whilst it was being interrogated, but unfortunately, the thief remains faceless.

Yesterday BP park was visited by a number of highly esteemed guests from both Scout and Guide movements for the Sponsors Afternoon Tea. The VIPs were given a grand tour by some of our own camp residents, and got the opportunity to see what the youth members of their organisations have been doing.
A second protest was staged at 4:35 the same afternoon, with the Venturers this time circling the whole way around BP park and ending at AgoonFM. I was fortunate enough to interview Alex himself after this second march, which according to him was staged purely because he “wanted a day off”. He has warned of an impending strike if the protest does not work and he does not get a day off. Altogether, things are looking bright for Alex and the rest of the Venturers. Working is tough, after all. Alex and VC seemed extremely optimistic, and agreed that “Protesting gets everything done”. Keep shouting Venturers!
Shout out to Bridget (from Blue troop) who’s football team UQFC under 13 Div1 Girls won their Grand Final 3-1. Bridget had some amazing saves as their goalie. Well done Bridget!!!! GO TEAM!!!! You got dobbed in by a secret person.
Reminder On the Disco and Movie Nights the canteen will be open for the first half hour.
