It is important to note that it is the League Requesting Inter-Leagues responsibility to initiate the proper forms and obtain the proper signatures and information before sending the completed form to the Local District Administrator for review and possible approvals. Interleague Play Request Form This form is used to allow leagues in which there are not enough players to play a full schedule of games. Normally, four teams are enough to play without needing to request interleague play. If a league does not feel that it has enough players to field its own Tournament Team, it may request a combination with another league, provided it has played a common schedule of games with teams in that league via an approved Interleague Play Request Form.

Combined Teams Request Form This form is used by leagues in which there are not enough players to field a team. It can also be used when there are enough players to field one team, but not enough for two. In either case, two or more leagues could use an approved Combined Teams Request Form to pool their players, and select the teams from among all players in the pool. The leagues could also request permission to allow a combination for Tournament Play. Responsibility for Permissions The league(s) requesting permission for any Inter-League or Combined Teams must initiate the proper forms, obtain the signatures of all leagues concerned and must present the form(s) to the local District Administrator for approvals. It may be necessary to include a short explanation with the form(s) so that all concerned know the scope of the request. NOTE: It is the responsibility of the Little League involved to initiate the proper form before any inter-league or combined team(s) participate in any practices or games.

REGULATION 1 — THE LEAGUE

The president of record or anyone who assumes the position or duties of president, on or after January 1 of the current year, may be eligible for selection by the local league Board of Directors as tournament team manager or coach with approval from their respective District Administrator. The president will not serve in the capacity of District Administrator. Player Agents shall not manage, coach, or umpire in their respective divisions. The president, with approval of Board of Directors, shall appoint managers, coaches, and umpires annually. Manager/coach representation on the Board shall not exceed a minority. NOTE: All members of the local league Board of Directors, as well as managers and coaches, whose activities in another youth baseball/softball program are deemed detrimental to the operation of the local league, can be removed by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Additionally, the local league’s Board of Directors has the right to NOT approve that individual as tournament team manager/coach. Partners & Offers

Part of the fun of Little League® is meeting different people and making new friends. Interleague games are great for making these connections, and your league can play other Little Leagues in your area by simply completing the Interleague Play form. Interleague play is a discussion your Board of Directors can have now, even before knowing how many teams you will field for next season. Establishing the right contacts at other leagues, and laying the groundwork in the offseason will help your league have a successful, enjoyable interleague experience. Available to any division you charter, organizing games is as simple as filling out the Interleague Play Form and

having your District Administrator and Little League Regional Office approve

it prior to any games being played. Both leagues must have teams chartered in the division(s) wanting to participate in interleague play. Tee Ball and Minor Divisions Providing interleague play for younger divisions is a wonderful way for these players to make new friends, and for parents to expand their social circles. Playing games with other leagues promotes the sharing of ideas and best practices, especially if they are using the Little League Tee Ball and Little League Coach Pitch programs available online and for free at LittleLeagueU.org. The focus of the Tee Ball and Coach Pitch programs is

to ensure that these young players have fun, while receiving a healthy and positive introduction to the fundamentals of baseball and softball. By the time a player is league-age eight, and playing in the Minor Division (player pitch division), the chance to travel and play at a neighboring league is a fantastic experience. Using the same Interleague Play Form a local league can schedule games with one, or several, other Little Leagues and give their Little Leaguers® the opportunity to see places where they may be playing come tournament season.
