This camp is a “must do” for players of all skill levels entering grades K-6 that are trying to improve their basic fundamental skills or just learning the game for the first time. The athletes will be divided according to skill level. This camp exposes young players to key skill elements of the game through fun, innovative as well as challenging instruction.
This Camp is designed to give incoming 7th & 8th grade athletes a challenging experience based on each player’s individual skill level. With the focus on all aspects of volleyball, training groups are established to ensure the camper receives instruction within their skill level. This camp is a must for players that want to improve their skill and better their game.
The Jump Start Camp is designed to give incoming 9th graders a high level training experience that will assist them in transitioning to high school level volleyball. This camp will cover general skills, position training, team offense, and team defense. The camp will be split by skill.

Head Coach Jason Nicholson Coach Nicholson brings 21years of high level coaching experience and a true passion for the sport of volleyball. In his first two seasons at Lovejoy, he led the Leopards to a 2014 5A State Championship, a 2015 5A State Runner-up, and 2016 5A State Semi-Final. He also coaches with Texas Advantage Volleyball Club, where in 2009 his14’s team won a USAV National Championship, in 2010 his 15’s team won Bronze, and in 2011 his 15’s won a AAU National Championship and won Silver at USAV Nationals. In 2014 his 14’s won a 14 Open bronze medal. In 2015 his 14’s won an Open National Championship. 2016 his 16’s won a 16 Open Bronze Medal. Coach Nicholson will be joined by his assistant coaches. Staff will also consist of Leopard volleyball alumni, and other elite coaches from around the area.
IT’S A GREAT TIME TO GO TO CAMP! I am very excited about what the future holds for the Lovejoy Volleyball Program. I am also extremely excited about this year’s summer camps and what our staff will bring to the kids of Lovejoy ISD. The goal of these camps is not only to reach out to future Leopards but to all kids that have a desire to improve their volleyball skills. I have put together a fantastic group of coaches with a lot of volleyball knowledge, but more importantly they have lots of energy. It is my goal to make this camp a must for not only future Leopards, but for each and every volleyball player in the area. Our camps are designed to assist athletes of all levels in improving their skills and finding the enjoyment and excitement the sport of volleyball brings. Go Leopards!
