It’s time to get ready for the 2018 Little League season! Registration is now open, and this season, all registrations for Chico Central will be online. See below for more instructions on how to register your players, and volunteer, online. The League will still be holding a series of in-person information sessions for those of you who want to talk about the best division for your players, submit hard copies of proofs of residency and pay by check. At these sessions you will also be able to get more information about volunteer opportunities (such as coaching, managing, or snack bar), and help anyone who may need some assistance with online registration. Our in-person information sessions will be held: • • • •

January 10th, Elks Lodge, 6-8pm January 13th, inside Chico Mall (by Dick’s Sporting Goods), 10am-1pm January 18th, Elks Lodge, 6-8pm January 23rd, Elks Lodge, 6-8pm

When you are ready for online registration, you will need to have the following items ready for upload to the league website: PDF or other electronically scanned copy of your player’s Birth Certificate AND A. One of the following: A scanned copy of your Driver’s License, or school records, vehicle records, employment records, or insurance documents (all other than a Driver’s License must be dated between 2/1/17 and 1/31/18). B. One of the following: A scanned copy of welfare/child care records, federal records (such as Federal Tax or Social Security), state records, local (municipal) records, support payment records, homeowner or tenant records, or military records (any of these must be dated between 2/1/17 and 1/31/18). C. One of the following: A scanned copy of Voter’s Registration, Utility bills, Financial records, Medical records, Internet/Cable/Satellite records (any of these must be dated between 2/1/17 and 1/31/18). In order for a player to participate in the upcoming season, you must provide your player’s Birth Certificate, along with one document from each category above (A, B & C), for a total of 4 documents. If you have any problems uploading documents during the registration process, please complete the online registration and bring hard copies of your documents to one of our in-person info sessions. If you choose to pay by check, you can pay at the in-person events, or mail a check to the league (PO Box 9228, Chico, CA 95927). Online registration is a two-stage process. First, you create an account (some of you did this already last year, if you registered online). Then, after creating an account, you can add participants (players) and select the appropriate divisions for your players. Our website has more detailed instructions for those needing some assistance. In addition, scholarships are available for those in need. If you plan on volunteering (including managing, coaching, snack bar help, team parent, field work, umpiring, etc.) you will also need to upload a scanned copy of your Driver’s License.
