This trip provides opportunities to explore that natural beauty and wonder of Belize and activities to immerse yourself in the past and present culture of the country.

Explore two different ecosystems—the jungle and the coastline of Belize Learn about the history and culture of the Mayan people Be immersed into the life of a Belizean student and discover life their way

Reading TBD Component: Writing Daily journals and a final reflection Component:

Grade based on: Participation and writings Description: On this 8-day journey, you will hike through a lush forest, zip-line through the dense canopy, tube through hidden caverns and caves, and snorkel in the clear Caribbean waters, exploring the diverse ecosystems found in Belize. In addition, you will immerse yourself in the Belizean culture of the past and present while spending time in a school, visiting ancient Mayan ruins, and learning how to survive in the jungle. This course is well suited to: Students interested in cultural immersion and unique experiences in nature $2,750.00 (includes round-trip airfare, airline baggage fees, hotels with private Cost: bathrooms, regional style meals, full-time tour director, on-tour transportation, admission fees, site-seeing activities, and export local tour guides) Additional costs:

Souvenirs, food at the airports, 5 possible lunches; optional travel insurance offered by vendor

Other Information: PASSPORTS ARE NECESSARY FOR ALL TRAVELERS. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK FOR CUSTOMS.
