Jack When I was on TS Royalist I was just old enough. I didn’t know anyone else who was going, as all the others were from Newcastle. I arrived at 10am and met the sailing master and coxswain. They were friendly the day rolled by and finally at 6pm all the other cadets arrived! I was thrilled to see all these enthusiastic cadets and we began the next day by climbing the rigging. Only four of us wanted to do it out of the 12, so we had two jobs. Helming TS Royalist was the most memorable of experiences and I can’t wait for my voyage this year.
