Minor Hurlers set for Replay INNISCARRA 3 - 7 , EIRE OG 1 - 13 At Cloughduv on Friday evening Inniscarra and Eire Og finished all square in the Minor East A Hurling Championship Final. It was a very evenly contested final with both sides leading at various stages but with time almost up Inniscarra led by two points only to concede two late points and so a replay is necessary. Inniscarra were first on the scoreboard with points from Andrew McCarthy, Padraig O'Donoghue and John Stanton to a pointed free from Eire Og. An injury to an Eire Og player caused a 12 minute stoppage and on resumption they scored two points. Then a through pass from Padraig O'Donoghue found Dylan O'Sullivan on the edge of the square and he made no mistake and raised a green flag. Eire Og replied with two points before an audacious run upfield by Sean O'Donoghue released Dylan O'Sullivan for his second goal. Eire Og got the final point of the first half from a free to leave the score at half time Inniscarra 2 - 3, Eire Og 0 - 6. Straight from the throw-in for the second half Eire Og struck for a goal with the sliotar deflected past goalkeeper Stephen Horgan to level the scores. Craig Bennett replied with a point but Eire Og recorded the next three points. Dylan O'Sullivan pointed a free, Eire Og replied with a point and Padraig O'Donoghue had another point. A long ball out of defence by Craig Bennett was fielded by Andrew McCarthy who passed to Dylan O'Sullivan and he struck for his third goal with ten minutes left. Eire Og replied with a point and shortly after were awarded a penalty which was brilliantly saved by the excellent Michael Burke and resulted in a free out. Inniscarra last score was a pointed free from Tomas O'Connor and looked like being enough to seal the game until Eire Og got two late points to send the game to a replay. Scorers.
