January 12, 2017 Dear Community Church Family, Regardless of how deep our faith is or how long we have known Christ, one thing we can all agree on is the truth of John 16:33 – “… In this world, you will have trouble…” Whether we like it or not, whether we have a firm faith or not, regardless of circumstances, this life is nothing short of trying at times. Knowing and having experienced this truth, I wanted to take a moment and remind you of a special resource Community Church has available. Almost two years ago, Community Church was led by God to expand our staff and enter into a partnership with Jesen Daniel. Jesen serves as our Biblical Counselor. Jesen is a trained Biblical Counselor with a Master's of Science in Professional Counseling. She is dedicated to providing confidential and accessible support to children, adolescents, couples and families. Her areas of specialty include: marriage, addiction, grief, divorce, trauma, anxiety and self-esteem. Jesen is a client-centered Biblical Counselor with the ability to come along side each individual, to build lasting rapport and to assist them as they strive to live a transformed life through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While there is a fee associated with this service, Community Church subsidizes part of that fee making Jesen’s services far more cost-effective than many other counseling options. If you are considering Biblical Counseling, and the fee is a roadblock, there are resources offered through our Benevolence ministry which may be available to you. If you find that life is overwhelming or that you are struggling with the daily pressures before you, I would encourage to reach out to the church office at (262) 338-0725. The office will be able to give you more details on fees and initial consultations and referrals. Community Church is committed to strengthening and developing each other in Christ so that we may walk together in the path set before us. If you believe you would benefit from professionally-trained Biblical Counselor care, please let us support you through your difficult time. We must never forget the whole of what Jesus said in John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!.” Christ has indeed overcome the world. May you be freed to experience the peace that passes understanding in Christ alone.
With the love of Christ, Adam Baker Senior Pastor West Bend Community Church
