Piping Hot Binding Kit has cord for 5' of piping which is about 3 place mats. If you want to do more you will need to purchase 1mm or 2mm nylon cord. Place mat or other quilted test piece ready for binding. Teacher will supply some test pieces for getting started. Coordinating fabric for 2.5" binding and contrasting fabric for 1.25" piping to go around quilt or place mat (1/4 yard). Small piping foot and open toed foot for sewing machine. You could try other feet but these are recommended and work well. Sharp curved tool such as dental pick or "Purple Thang" for helping hold cord in binding while sewing. Contrasting and matching thread for quilt back, top, and piping fabric. Sometimes you need contrasting and sometimes noncontrasting thread so you need to bring one of each for all fabrics used.
Classroom Etiquette 1. Please come prepared and arrive on time for your class 2. Please turn your cell phones to silent or vibrate and if you must answer or make a call during class, please step outside. 3. Please keep all side conversations and chit chat to a minimum. 4. If you have a question in regards to the class, please ask the instructor and not your neighbor as your neighbor may not have the correct answer. 5. All beverages must be in a container with a lid
