J.D. ELITE Juan De Dios Salinas Middle School is proud to present our very own JD ELITE (Extraordinary Leaders Integrating Technology in Education) Team. The ELITE Team is comprised of a select group of educators who have chosen to integrate technology in their classrooms. As members of the ELITE Team the educators have the opportunity to attend professional development sessions offered by their campus. Once teachers have attended the professional development session, they work to integrated the technology discussed into their lesson and thus creating a more engaging experience for the students. Our Mission for the ELITE Team is to provide support and guidance to teachers as they integrate technology in their classrooms and enhance, engage and stimulate the learning environments for all students. We envision an environment where teachers can come together and form a community that fosters a culture of collaborative technology integration focus on student achievement. Keeping our Mission and Vision in mind at all times student engagement has increased over the course of the semester as teachers learn new and innovative ways to entice our digital natives. As trainers for the ELITE Team, Beatrice Gonzalez and Christina O’Neill are proud of the teachers at J.D. Salinas and enjoy watching their educative style go from great to extraordinary with the integration of technology. All ELITE Team members emulate the Mission and Vision statement day in and out in their classroom and are met with equal enthusiasm and support by our administrative team.
