SET UP Print The Big God Story people and cut them out. Glue them onto craft sticks. To make a puppet theater, stand a large cardboard box on its end. Help the kids cut a rectangular opening in the front to make a stage. To create two curtains, gather each piece of fabric (each gather about an inch long) and use a hot glue gun to attach the fabric to the inside of the box above the opening.

RELATE The Big God Story tells the story of God’s love for mankind. God created the world and everything in it and said everything was good. But then something changed the world. What happened? (Allow answers.) Sin entered the world. So God promised to make everything right and send a Redeemer. Who is the Redeemer? (Allow answers.) Yes. Jesus! Thousands of years later, Jesus came to earth as a baby born in Bethlehem. Jesus—God’s Son—lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again. Why did He do this? (Allow answers. Then encourage the kids to read John 3:16 and 1 John 4:9–10.)

Is The Big God Story over? (Allow answers.) No! God’s story isn’t over. As those who have put our faith in Jesus, we look forward to the day Jesus returns to earth. Until then we get to play a special role in His story and share it with the world.
