Trim the embroidered velvet piece 1" (25 mm) beyond the outer embroidery on all sides. Silk Ribbon Cut the silk ribbon into two 10" (25 cm) pieces and one 4" (10 cm) piece. Save the shorter ribbon for the ring holder loop. Pin the two long ribbons to the jewelry wrap front. One to the edge, in the middle of the short side. Fold the front side piece in three to find the correct placement of the other ribbon. Sew the ribbons in place.

Lining Side Embroider We have used the 5D™ software to edit embroidery design #1, so it would fit in the middle section of the jewelry wrap. If you do not have the 5D™ software you can embroider the original design #1, letting it cover the whole inside of the jewelry wrap. Press interfacing to the wrong side of the 12" x 20" (30.5 x 51 cm) silk fabric. Hoop the Tear-A-Way stabilizer. Select your edited design #1. Put the interfaced silk fabric on top of the stabilizer and baste in place. Embroider the design using Rayon and Sulky Sliver thread on top and bobbin thread in the bottom. Tear away the stabilizer. Trim the embroidered lining piece to the same size as the velvet embroidered piece. Zipper pocket Clean finish one 7" (18 cm) side of the organza fabric to prevent fraying. Pin the organza fabric clean finished side right sides together with the zipper and sew. Press the organza away from the zipper with a pressing cloth. Pin the zipper pocket to the lining. Sew a straight stitch along the other zipper edge. Change to the B foot, select stitch F1:15 along the organza edge.

and sew

Ring Holder Fold the velvet ring holder piece in half, right sides together. Pin and sew along the long side. Turn the ring holder so the seam is placed in the middle. Trim the seam allowance. Use the 4" (10 cm) piece silk ribbon to make a loop and place it into one of the short sides, and sew along the short side. Turn right side out. Fill the holder with batting, fold the raw edge to the inside and sew the ring holder to the lining on the opposite side of the zipper pocket. Sew a button to the lining and fasten the ring holder to the button with the loop.

Piping Snap on the Piping Foot. Lay the cording on the wrong side of the grey silk fabric strip and wrap the fabric over the cord. Place the fabric and cord under the Piping Foot with the cord in the groove on the underside of the foot. Sew. The groove will guide the cord so the fabric covers it evenly. Place the piping along the seam line on the right side of the velvet front part and stitch in place with piping in the groove of the foot. Adjust the needle position so it stitches one setting closer to the cord, to cover the first stitching. Notch the seam allowance of the piping on curves and corners. Place the silk lining on top of the velvet piece, right sides together. Put fabric and piping layers under the piping foot with the piping in the groove on the underside of the foot. Sew. The groove on the underside of the foot will guide the piping as you sew.
