Accounting Manager Enactus Worldwide Chief Financial Officer Enactus World Headquarters, Springfield, MO USA Full-time, Salaried Job Grade: 5
OVERVIEW This position is responsible for all accounting functions related to select international subsidiary countries which includes managing the process to transfer funds, budget-to-actual analysis, and the preparation of monthly financial statements by country. In addition, this position manages the payroll process for the Enactus Global organization and assists in the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, grant administration, audit workpapers, compilation of Form 990 and other duties as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process payroll on a semi-monthly basis for domestic employees of Global organization and for internationally-based employees on a monthly basis. Requires knowledge of basic payroll laws, the ability to research specific payroll issues and the ability to proactively manage change. Work with Director of HR on the upkeep of employee data in HRIS system, benefit administration of retirement plan, and various insurance plans. Prepare financial statements for select international subsidiaries; communicate with international staff regarding various in-country transactions and on budget-to-actual variance analysis. Manage fixed assets through software system, prepare monthly depreciation journal entries and reconcile accounts. Prepare revenue journal entries on donations, pledges and receipt of funds in accordance with nonprofit revenue recognition guidelines. Assist CFO with preparation of annual fiscal-year budget, monthly consolidated financial statements, annual audit process, statutory reporting, preparation of Form 990, USAID registration and other reports as needed. Assist with general ledger account analytics, budget process, monitoring organizational expenses, forecasting, trend analysis, account reconciliations, board reports, etc. Ensure proper accounting controls are maintained and that financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent years of relevant work experience. At least 4+ years accounting experience in similar role, supervisory and/or non-profit experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially with Excel Working knowledge of Accounting Software, with the ability to easily learn new software as needed Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Must be dependable and take initiative Must have good time management and organizational skills Must be team orientated and willing to assist where needed Click Here to Apply for This Job
