What We’re Looking For The Administration Centre acts as the ‘Hub’ for all Internal & External Park Communications. As an Apprentice in this team, you will be the ‘First Contact’ guests and business associates have with Paultons and will learn to develop excellent communication skills together with a confident and pleasant telephone manner. You will learn the skills to ensure the highest level of service is delivered, at all times, and that enquiries are dealt with efficiently and promptly. You will also be working towards the completion of an Apprenticeship in Business Administration with learning delivered through our partner Training Provider. What You’ll Need      

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially Word and Excel skills and a high standard of IT literacy. Effective communication skills. Ability to deal calmly with challenging situations and maintain a professional and empathetic approach. Confidence to use a digital switchboard and two way radio system (training will be provided). Willingness to be trained in bespoke booking systems. Positive attitude towards completion of all aspects of the Apprenticeship programme.

What You’ll be Doing 

Answering incoming phone calls, both internal and external. First Line contact for both Guests and Suppliers. Dealing with all enquiries in an efficient manner and transferring calls as necessary.



Communicating via the Park’s two-way radio system to ensure contact is made/message relayed to the correct members of the Departmental Management/ Supervisory teams.



Act as a relief Receptionist in the ‘Front Office’ of the Administration Centre and be the first point of contact for Park visitors and staff.



Process Season Ticket renewals over the telephone



Process Event Bookings using bespoke systems, including Christmas, Early Play, Birthday Party and other Special Events



Assist with the printing of BOCA tickets for Groups, Privilege Scheme, Managers etc.



Process ‘Peppa Pig World Online Shop’ orders and labels using Amazon, Shopify and Royal Mail systems



Undertake all generic administrative tasks i.e. typing, filing, photocopying, printing etc.



Assist with kitchen duties for main office including preparing refreshments for Director/Manager meetings



Be prepared to undertake any other task, at the request of the Assistant Guest Services & Administration Manager, to ensure the efficient running of the Administration Centre.

When You’ll Be Doing It 

This is an Apprenticeship position, working 30 hours per week. You will be working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Hours of work will be 9am to 4pm with 1 hour for lunch. Flexibility is required to meet peak and off peak demands of the Administration Centre and business.
