JOUR 4 8e CAMP D’ANGLAIS BIBLIQUE Église Chrétienne Réformée de Beauce 7 juillet 2016 Let’s make a visit to the craft table. Here we find Terra Terra LaBelle (on the left) et Ali Marcel (right), both from Cape Cod. They came with Sandy LaBelle, Terra’s sister. They go to the same church where Terra’s father is pastor and Aly’s father is an elder. This is their first experience on the a mission trip and away from their homes, but they have helped at a lot of camps before. In the past, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Terra and Sandy’s older sister and brother, Schylie and River. They loved their time in St. Georges so much that they encouraged their sisters to particpate themselves.
Terra et Ali lead the craft table under the direction of Rebecca Myers Jacques. Rebecca was the first missionary associate at the church of Ben Westerveld in Quebec City. Now Rebecca has 3 children of her own in the camp in St Georges, where she and her husband attend. This photo was taken early in the week. The children are making some thing called « slime » from glue!
Aly is taught at home, as Terra is also. She has one brother. She is sweet and friendly. She loves to make things with her hands: cooking, making candles and soaps
Terra comes from a family of 7 children. She loves to make others around her happy. She and Aly have enormously enjoyed their week. They find it hard to not communicate fully with their students, especially the youngest children.
Here is a picture of the preparation of the meal for Friday where we expect about 190 people! Pray for all the volunteers, families, and children who particiapte in our camp!
