Journal of Distance Learning The purpose of the TxDLA Journal of Distance Learning (TxDLA-JDL) is to demonstrate effective research utilizing diverse methodological designs and approaches in educational settings, preschools to graduate schools, as well as community settings, with an emphasis on how learning can be facilitated. This journal will provide useful examples for distance learning scholar-practitioners on developing valid studies within local and applied settings. TxDLA-JDL will be published by the Texas Distance Learning Association. It will be hosted in ScholarWorks published compliments of Stephen F. Austin State University. The TxDLA-JDL will be a peer-reviewed open-access, and continuous publication for original manuscripts with emphasis on the body of knowledge in the areas of practice in distance learning in either educational institutions or community settings. This will ensure a cross-disciplinarian nature of the journal. Manuscripts represent research-based studies: Submissions utilize standard research techniques with appropriate analyses utilizing quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods paradigms, as well as action-based research. The submissions are expected to demonstrate rigorous research leading to new findings and understandings in any educational or community setting. Submission topics must relate to distance learning. In order to lower barriers to publication for authors, TxDLA JDL does not charge submission or any other form of author fees.
