JOWA Dieselswitch DSMKII – Service Letter for Maintenance and Spares Concerns: Engine type: All Engine size: All DSMKII size: All
In order to keep best performance of your JOWA Dieselswitch DSMKII at all time, we have issued this Service Letter SL15003 and we kindly ask you to study it carefully. The Service Letter is valid for installations made on new building and retrofit. Maintenance and Overhaul: For DSMKII DS40, DS50, DS65 and DS80 All Inspection, maintenance and overhaul can be carried out by the crew, no JOWA service engineer needed.
We recommend visual inspection of tightness of all connection points of pipework, valves and sensors each 6 month. If any leakage observed, take proper action to rectify immediately. Independent of condition, the rubber compensators must be replaced each 5th year and general overhaul to be carried out at the same time. All sealing’s and gaskets are standard and available on the market.
Warning! Before any dismantling of installed parts and/or working parts: Ensure that the DSMKII is by-passed, Valve V11, V12 and V13 are properly closed. Drain the DSMKII system of fuel and ensure that the inside pressure is relieved by checking the pressure on the display. Switch off the power to the DSMKII.
Recommended Spare Part Kit: Independent if the warranty is still valid or not, we recommend that you at all-time have a spare part kit available onboard. For details see next page.
