Camp features
half-day camp
• High-quality, individual instruction • Highly qualified camp staff • Christian camp environment – coaches begin each session with a devotional challenge • Campers learn soccer techniques and tactics, as well as the psychological and physical aspects of the game • Specialized areas of training include speed and agility exercises and goalkeeper techniques • Competitive tournaments and matches are scheduled throughout the week • Outdoor training is held at CIU’s Sessions Soccer Field • Indoor training is held in CIU’s Moore Fitness Center
Half-Day camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. The camp is geared toward the younger player. Half-Day Fee: $100 and includes a camp T-shirt and professional soccer instruction.
Camp coaches The camp coaching staff includes the CIU men’s and women’s soccer coaches, college and club coaches, and CIU soccer players who are highly qualified for professional instruction.
team camp Teams are encouraged to attend. They will practice together and play other teams in league and tournament games. Teams bringing eight or more players to full-day camp will receive a $25 discount off the registration fee.

COACH BILL BRINDLEY comes to CIU from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. In five seasons at Trinity Baptist, Brindley led the Eagles from a fledgling first year program to a consistent NCCAA National Championship tournament team. Over the past three years, Brindley amassed a record of 43-17 and won the NCCAA DII National Championship, as well as three Southeast Region Tournament titles. Prior to his time at Trinity Baptist, Brindley was a standout collegiate athlete at Tennessee Temple University and Palm Beach Atlantic University. After college, Brindley played professionally in the United Soccer League for Real Maryland and the Pittsburgh River Hounds. Brindley is well respected in the field of coaching as he holds the NSCAA National Diploma and the NSCAA Professional Development Certificate. COACH KARA FARNSWORTH CIU’s first-ever women’s head soccer coach, Kara Farnsworth, is entering her third season with the Rams. In the Rams first season, the team received an at-large bid to the NCCAA Div. I National Tournament and last year the Rams made it to the NCCAA South Region Championship game. Prior to CIU, Farnsworth served as assistant coach at Colorado Christian University. In her four years as a player at Roberts Wesleyan, Farnsworth racked up numerous honors. She also played two summers with the Chicago Eagles, a division of Missionary Athletes International (MAI).
