YOUTH BASEBALL FALL 2016 SEASON OPEN TRYOUTS Now recruiting for the Hawks competitive youth baseball team Join Kansas City’s premier youth baseball team, where you will receive college-level coaching and training by experienced athletes. Our team will train and compete against top tier talent throughout the KC Metro area and region by participating in play in the NKCA Baseball League and select weekend tournaments.

Who should try out for this team? Players who are looking to compete on a NKCA Baseball League team during the 2016 fall regular season Players who are looking for college-level coaching and skills development while being challenged by quality coaches in a competitive environment Players who are looking to have fun and compete on a team that values character, teamwork, and sportsmanship

ATHLETICS

COACHING STAFF CHAD EARWOOD DIRECTOR, ENGAGED ATHLETICS Chad Earwood graduated from Simpson College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts. During his time at Simpson, Chad was a four-year letter winner, two time team captain, and received All-American honors his senior year. Chad also received an NCAA post-graduate scholarship. As President and CEO of Engaged Companies, he oversees the vision, culture, growth, and overall viability of several businesses. He is passionate about building teams of talented athletes and fostering an environment for young players to develop great attitudes, skills, and character that lead to winning in athletics and in life. Chad lives in Platte City, Missouri with his wife, Marcy and their four children, Olivia, Chloe, Quinn and Ty.

JEFF RYDMAN COACH Jeff Rydman is a 2010 graduate from Campbell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management. His baseball career began in high school as a three-year letter winner at Oak Park High School where he lead his team to a third place finish in the MSHSAA tournament in 2006 and was named First Team All-State. Following high school, Jeff was a starting pitcher on staff at Fort Scott Community College. During his freshman year, he went 11-1 and was named to the first team All-NJCAA and was a pre-season All-American. After his time at Fort Scott, he was a two-year member of the pitching staff at Campbell University and helped lead the team to their first two winning seasons in ten years. Jeff currently lives in Gladstone, Missouri with his wife, Ally.

SHAUN ADAMS COACH Shaun Adams began playing competitive baseball at a young age, earning a varsity team position two years in high school, pitching and playing outfield. Shaun played basketball for two years at Loyola University Chicago and then transferred to Saint Leo University. There, in addition to playing Division II basketball, he pitched for the baseball team. Shaun earned a designation as Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013 and was a member of the Athletic National Honor Society and President’s Club for three semesters.
