WOOL APPLIQUE CLUB SUPPLIES For our first meeting, we will discuss pattern options (if you have one in mind, bring it, otherwise, you can choose after the first meeting) We will discuss background fabric options, wool types, thread options, and needles at the first meeting. Below is a list of supplies you will choose from once you know what your project will be. Bring a 12” square of muslin or coarsely woven fabric (no batiks) and an 8” – 10” embroidery hoop to the first class for practicing the stem stitch. You will also need some embroidery floss, embroidery needle, and pair of sharp small scissors. A good OTT light is always helpful for handwork. Bring a notebook so you can take notes for supplies you will need for your project (depending on your project, you may need some supplies and not others). List of possible supplies for your project: Needles: Chenille #18, Chenille #24, Straw #11 and #10, Milliners #1. Threads: Pearl Cotton #8 in solid and variegated colors, wool threads by Aurifil or Sue Spargo (available from In Between Stitches), cotton embroidery flosses, Scissors for cutting wool shapes and paper scissors Reynolds Freezer Paper for making patterns Tracing paper (large pad), colored pencils or drawing on tracing paper. Optional, or down the road: Lightbox for tracing patterns, SUE SPARGO’S Creative Stitching Book (available at In Between Stitches) All stitches demonstrated in this class will be from Sue Spargo’s Creative Stitching Book General Information Please have all supplies prior to class. All books, patterns, and supplies are available at In Between Stitches. All classes must be paid for when you sign-up. Unless noted you must cancel 5 days prior to the first class to receive a store credit. If we cancel a class you will receive a store credit or refund in the method which you paid. We ask that during a class you turn all cell phones off and limit any perfumes that you may use as some of our students and instructors are very sensitive to perfumes. We are unable to accommodate guests/children during classes. All sales are final on books, patterns, and fabric.
