Words Are Roads: UWSP Students on the Yellowstone Trail

Vintage & Classic Car Show - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE Join us at Lakefront Park by the Hudson Arch for an up close look at the vintage vehicles on display. Dash Plaques and trophies provided. Rain date: Sunday, June 7th. Location: Lakefront Park, 1st and Walnut Streets Geocaching the Yellowstone Trail - 8:30 a.m. FREE Meet & Greet at Dick’s Bar & Grill followed by CITO (Cache In - Trash Out). Find caches in Hudson, Roberts, Hammond and other trail-side communities. www.geocaching.com Location: 111 Walnut Street Non-Profit Community Fair - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE Connect with local organizations and see how they make a difference in our community. 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. FREE On the last day of their two-week class trip to Yellowstone National Park and back, UW-Stevens Point students will share words, sounds and images from their experiences studying how we balance our desire to protect and enjoy nature with our need for economic development in communities along the Yellowstone Trail. Location: Hudson Area Library, 700 1st Street

Cemetery Walk at Willow River Cemetery

12 to 4 p.m. (starting on the 1/2 hour, last tour at 3 p.m.) Take a guided stroll through the cemetery where costumed actors share the life stories of the “Spirits” of Hudson’s past. Tours take about 1 hour. Admission: $8 adults, $3 students (13-18) & children 12 and under free with an adult. Location: Willow River Cemetery on 9th Street between Vine and Wisconsin Streets.

Homemade Pie & Ice Cream Social - 1 to 4 p.m.

Children’s Activities - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE

Enjoy homemade desserts while socializing on the front lawn of the historic First Baptist Church. Location: 309 Vine Street

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue - 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Canvas Party Painting Class - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local artist Audrey Martin will lead a class in painting a scene of the Hudson Arch and Toll House on to a pre-traced 11’’ x 14’’ canvas. The U of M Bee Enjoy an hour long guided tour the Victorian-era Octagon House Squad will be giving honeybee demonstrations, and a variety of local artists, farmers and businesses will be displaying goods. Master Gardeners Plant Sale - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The St. Croix Valley Master Gardeners Association (SCVMGA) will hold its annual plant sale on the lawn of the Octagon House Museum. Come early for the best selection of perennial and annual plants from the gardens of local master gardeners. Location: 1004 3rd Street Octagon House Museum Tours - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
