Yardages based on 42” wide fabric 1 yd Cream Stripe (Y0463-2) 7/8 yd Blue Thorny Floral (Y0461-32) 1/4 yd Blue Dotty Floral (Y0462-32) 3/8 yd Black Plaid (Y0460-3) 1 yd Blue Tonal (Y0459-32) 1/2 yd Black Dotty Floral (Y0462-3) 3/4 yd Black Tonal (Y0459-3) (includes binding) 2 yd Blue Plaid (Y0460-32) 3-1/2 yd Backing of Choice

Circle Blocks - Finished Size 9½" square 1. Using the applique method of choice, center the Blue Dotty Floral circles in each Cream Stripe block and applique. Center the Black Plaid circles in each Blue Thorny Floral block and applique. Assemble the Quilt 1. Lay out the circle blocks on-point, beginning with 3 Black Plaid & Blue Thorny Floral blocks in the first row and 2 Blue Dotty Floral & Cream Stripe bocks in the second row. Add the Blue Tonal triangles around the edges to create the rectangular center of the quilt. Refer to the color picture on the front for placement.

2. Sew the quilt together in diagonal rows as shown in Diagram 1. The setting triangles are cut slightly larger than the blocks; trim edges of quilt to 1/4” seam allowance if necessary to make the quilt center 38-5/8” x 38-5/8” square.



3. Add the borders as follows:



Border 1 = Black Dotty Floral, 2 – 1 1/2” x 38 5/8” strips, 2 – 1-1/2” x 40-5/8” strips



Border 2 = Blue Tonal, 2 – 1 1/2” x 40 5/8” strips, 2 – 1-1/2” x 42-5/8” strips



Border 3 = Black Tonal, 2 – 1 1/2” x 42 5/8” strips, 2 – 1-1/2” x 44-5/8” strips



Border 4 = Blue Tonal, 1-1/2” x 44-5/8” strips, 2 – 1-1/2” x 46-5/8” strips



Border 5 = Black Dotty Floral, 1-1/2” x 46 5/8” strips, 2 – 1-1/2” x 48-5/8” strips Border 6 = Blue Plaid, 4 – 6” x LOF strips, mitering the corners. 4. Layer quilt, batting & backing. Quilt and bind as desired.

Cut the Fabrics WOF = Width of Fabric LOF = Length of Fabric From the Cream Stripe cut: • 4 – 9-1/2” squares on-point so that the stripes appear vertical in finished quilt. From Blue Thorny Floral cut: • 9 – 9-1/2” squares
