2017 / 2018 Start of a new year! Our students are back ready for another year, and we have an influx of new students eager to learn the ropes. We have just a few weeks to get them ready for the restaurant opening on Wednesday 4th October. The restaurant opening times have changed a little, so please take note of our new times.

Junior Chef's Programme Our Junior Chef’s programme is back for another year! This is a 6 week after school programme for students in years 9, 10 or 11, where they will learn skills such as bread making, knife skills, butchery, pastry & service in a professional kitchen. Courses start on September 13th, November 1st, January 17th & March 14th. Ask for details.
STUDENTS TO TAKE PART IN NCS PROGRAM After just 2 weeks at college, our students are going to take part in the ultimate team building program. They will spend 3 days in Devon taking part in activities such as rock climbing, zip lining, coasteering, mountain boarding, surfing & much more. This is a great opportunity for them to test themselves outside their normal limits, and really get to know one another. They will then spend the next week based at Marwell, where they will take part in different workshops such as bar flair. Their final week will involve working in groups to raise money for their chosen charity. Look out for the next newsletter to see? STUDENT TAKEOVER This year our students will take part in a restaurant takeover at Quay 15 Southampton. Rocky Moore (manager) will be coming to speak to the students in September to launch the takeover. Students will be CV writing & completing job applications and then their interviews begin on 10th October, so watch this space!
