After all, who wouldn't be interested in seeing how a mother and a father of eight children handled their daily lives? And what if six of those were born at the same time as sextuplets while the remaining two were twins? The fifth season of this series became one of the most popular series of The Learning Channel, with nearly 10 million people watching the first episode. Yes, this couple had a staggering number of kids. What made them a nationwide topic is the fact that two were

twins and the remaining six were sextuplets. This is why their reality show was such a hit.

Everyone was all too happy to be part of such a big family.

It first started as one-hour TV specials named "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins" and "One Year Later" before having two seasons on Discovery Health Channel and the remaining ones on The Learning Channel.

Even if having these many kids was quite problematic, especially financially speaking, the couple was determined to thrive.

By this time, Oprah had already introduced them to a wider audience.

Being on Oprah's talk show was quite a significant part of their lives because Oprah had so much influence on what millions of people would talk about.

By 2008, Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin had renewed their wedding vows.

This happened in Hawaii and it was absolutely magical to see.

In 2009, the sextuplets were already five years old.

They had a massive birthday party and everything turned out pretty well for the celebrity family.

They parted theeir ways.

Many people were dismayed with their decision, especially since they were all worried about the welfare of the

kids. Jon accused Kate of having control issues, while Kate felt that their relationship felt empty and that she could no longer sustain the marriage with so many kids to take care of.

The show had to continue even with the divorce being revealed.

Because of the separation, Kate Gosselin had to do more to keep her children happy amidst the familial tension.

In 2010, the show became "Kate Plus 8" because Jon no longer wanted to be a part of it.

According to Us Magazine, Jon Gosselin didn't want his divorce and his future activities to be seen by millions of people.

On September 12, 2011, "Kate Plus 8" ended.

While it had already ended, TLC allowed the series to first achieve a commendable 150 episodes.

In 2013, Kate published a cooking book titled "Love Is The Mix".

Of course, the book cover featured her eight wonderful kids who have grown a lot.

In 2015, the twins and the sextuplets got so much older.
