Rockets vs. Chiefs Wednesday March 5, 2014 Game Time - 7:05 pm Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets have won nine of their last eleven games heading into a date with the Spokane Chiefs. This is the fourth and final meeting of the season. These two teams met on th February 12 with the Rockets earning a 2-1 win. In the seasonal series the Rockets are 1-1-0-1 with their th only regulation loss coming back on October 8 in a 6-3 setback at the Spokane Arena. In the only other th game, January 29 at Prospera Place, the Chiefs were a 6-5 shootout winner. The Rockets had a four game winning streak snapped last night with a 5-1 loss in Everett. Justin Kirkland scored the lone goal in th the teams’ 10 regulation loss of the season. Jackson Whistle allowed all five goals in the game and was replaced by Jordon Cooke in the third period. The Rockets were 0 for 3 on the power play and were 5 for 5 on the penalty kill. Following tonight’s game the Rockets host Tri City Saturday night.
