What is Kenpo Karate?
Based in Enfield, Founded in 2009 by Sensei Maurice Howie Master Instructor of the Year 2013 (L.T.K.K.A.) Sensei Maurice began his martial arts journey in Taekwondo at age 17. He has over 30 years coaching and training experience, which he imparts on his students. He has attended seminars with prominent modern Kenpoists such as Grandmaster Larry Tatum, Grandmaster Vic LeRoux, Ed Parker Jr, Ed Downey, Jeff Speakman, Graham Lelliott and Steve Stewart. Continuing to train under the guidance of Mr Tom Cullen, founder of Kenpo Karate Australasia (KKA), in 2013 Sensei Maurice was honoured in Ireland with an award from Grandmaster Larry Tatum for Master Instructor of the Year and entry into the L.T.K.K.A Hall of Fame.

Teaching Practical Self Defence Kenpo Karate Australasia (KKA) was formed in 1996 by founder Mr Tom Cullen with the aim of sharing the skills, principals, concepts and theories of American Kenpo Karate. Mr Cullen is the Australian representative of L.T.K.K.A.
Based on Ed Parker’s American Kenpo Karate We welcome you to join our family oriented Martial Arts school where we teach Kenpo Karate for practical self-defence in a motivating, fun, friendly and rewarding bully-free team environment.

Our programs are especially beneficial for children and adults with Visual and Auditory Perception and learning difficulties such as Dyslexia.

Learning practical self-defence in a motivating, fun, friendly and rewarding team environment. Students are trained in a structured and progressive way to enable them to achieve the requirements of each specific belt level before being graded to the next belt level. All students are welcomed, valued and respected. K4K teaches self-control, respect for self and others, and improves your child’s focus and confidence!

are currently held in September, and offer K4K students valuable life experiences to compete in a safe and supportive environment with other Kenpo students and to make lasting friendships.

Adults Kenpo Karate Australasia A highly practical selfdefence system built on a solid foundation of basics.
Gain the confidence to handle difficult situations by learning how to effectively protect yourself against attacks, strikes, common holds, multiple attackers and weapons by using a practical system of sets, forms and techniques all based on commonly encountered situations. Learn about the rituals, formalities and customs of the Oriental tradition, while training in the sets, forms and techniques of modern Kenpo, blended together with the essential principles, concepts and theories that make Kenpo Karate a martial science.
