We are working to reduce harmful byproducts even further to meet regulations while avoiding expensive alternatives. We have already vastly improved over past conditions, and are continuing to get better results! KPU is preparing to add a second chlorine addition point for additional disinfection byproduct reduction.

KPU is working closely with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation to provide safe water to Ketchikan’s residents, industry, and visitors.
