Monday 14th September 2015 Dear Parents, As part of our Living Rainforest topic we will be visiting Kew gardens on Tuesday 6th October. As part of our visit we will take part in a 90 minute hands on workshop. We will explore the sights and smells of the rainforest plants located in Kew’s historic Palm House. Children will have the opportunity to work scientifically in the rainforest challenge, observing, investigating and analysing rainforest products and artefacts. The full cost of the trip including return transport, entrance to Kew and the workshop is £28.52 per child. In order for the trip to go ahead, please make a minimum voluntary contribution of £25 and send it together with the permission slip to school by Friday 25th September. We appreciate that the cost of this trip has coincided with the deposit for the residential, which may present financial pressures. If you have any difficulty at all, please come and see Mrs T who will be happy to organise instalments for both trips. As we are travelling into London our day will have to start earlier and will finish a little later. The coach will be leaving school promptly at 8am. We ask that all children are in school by 7.45 a.m so that they can be registered before leaving. The coach will then return to school at approximately 4.30pm. Children will need to wear school uniform and bring a waterproof coat and packed lunch in a rucksack. Yours sincerely,
