Kids Christmas Songs 2016 Rehearsals Please work with your children to learn these songs at home simply by playing them frequently. Additionally, we will have two rehearsals to help them prepare, and one the morning of the program for our final preparation. December 3 at 2:30pm- We will use these songs as part of our float for the Christmas parade, so the kids will sing these songs a lot on this day alone. Please meet at church at 2:30pm to prepare for the parade. December 16 at 5:30pm - This will be our dress rehearsal, and we'll work with the kids from 5:306:00. Please dress your children in what they will wear on Sunday morning. (We will take some photos during this rehearsal that we are unable to get on a Sunday morning since the photographer cannot move around this freely during a worship service.) December 18 at 10:10am - This is the morning of our cantata. The children's ministry will release children who are singing from Sunday School at 10:10 so we can run though these songs briefly before the service. We will probably keep kids up front and contained (Ha!) from this point on so that they are all present and accounted for the service. What to Wear If you’re able and would like to have your child coordinate with the choir, they will be wearing black pants and: white blouses with red scarves (ladies); black shirts with red ties (men). Please don’t stress over this, and do not feel the need to purchase anything special for this day. Your children will look great either way, and having their involvement is most important to us.

Lyrics I Can See the Light (picks up w/ children at 1:45) Chorus 1 This light of mine, I’ll let it shine. This light of mine, I’ll let it shine. This light of mine, I’ll let it shine. Chorus 2 From one to another, from Jesus to me; Down through the ages, to this Christmas Eve. Love lit a candle one Bethlehem night; And I can see the light. Love lit a candle; one Bethlehem night. And I— can— see— the light.

The Baby Verse 1 It’s not the gifts with bring That make it Christmas Not the holly or mistletoe It’s not the bells that ring In celebration Not the city streets With lights and glow Chorus It’s the baby in the manger Tiny infant sweet and small It’s the baby He’s our savior Come to earth to save us all Come to earth to save us all Verse 2 It’s not the list we make Of Christmas wishes Not the wreath all tied up with a bow It’s not the Christmas treats That taste delicious Or the cards from everyone we know
