EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS

WHAT IS MY ROLE? ● Parents primary role is to be the SUPPORT TEAM! ○ Your child in learning a new skill/game: ■ ask if they had fun after a game not pick out mistakes ■ have them dressed, with water, and at practice/game on time ■ make sure they get a good night’s sleep the night before ■ Cheer for all kids! They are all learning. This is YOUR job! ○ Their coach and team: ■ help coordinate snack schedules ■ help gather up flags/balls ■ allow coaches to coach; referees to ref….these are not your roles ■ Be an example to other parents, other clubs, and to your kids! ○ The club ■ Help out concessions; tournament; take a position; promote our club through sharing photos, Facebook!

REFEREES 75% of referees are under 16 years old Many quit due to stress of sideline behavior of adults Let’s provide a tolerant, respectful, safe environment for these referees to use as a training ground so can keep up our reputation of having Awesome Refs in Kiel!

CONTINUE THE TRADITION OF GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP
