Kindle Fire This Guide is for all Kindles other than Kindle Fire; for the Fire, please see separate instructions. 1. Log in to your Amazon account at Amazon.com – go to Manage Your Content and Devices. 2. Visit the BRIDGES website at http://bridges.lib.overdrive.com. Click Sign In (at the top right) to log in to your library. Enter West Des Moines Public Library and your Library barcode (on the back of your card – no spaces). You can click the “remember this card” box to save this info. 3. Browse or search for an eBook. Hint: To limit, click Advanced Search, then choose Format: Kindle Book. You can also click the box for “Only show titles with copies available” to find something you can read right away. 4. Click on a title with a black book icon in the upper right corner of the cover, and click on Borrow. If the icon is gray, it is checked out. You can click on it and Place a Hold.
