Parent Support: As a parent I know you want to watch your son play, but this can put added pressure on your athlete. For most of these boys they are trying a new sport. Developing the skills to be successful is difficult. To help them perform to the best of their ability, I would prefer that you wait at the ninth hole for them to finish. But if you want to catch a glimpse of how they are doing, please follow half a hole in behind your son (out of sight, out of mind ). Parents are not allowed to coach or caddie for their sons during a match.
