Primary School Mission Statement Emmaus School is founded on Christian values and the traditions of the Church of England and the Catholic Church. As we journey in partnership we will seek out opportunities to work together, discovering in each other generous companions, with our Lord Jesus walking alongside us.

TOUS ENSEMBLE, EN CHEMIN AVEC JESUS
Caving Have you ever gone in a cave? Well if you haven’t here is the story of my experience. To begin we met our group leader and she taught us a gleeful, rhyming chant. After that we put our gleaming, red helmets on that had a radiant head torch. A few moments later we were shown to the door of the dim, murky cave. As my last leg squeezed through the gap my stomach flipped and I felt ecstatic! I wasn’t nervous anymore as I knew I was going to have fun! My favourite time in the cave was when we switched off our torches and pretended to be bats. I could just about see my hand in front of my face! - Ruby Foreman
Disco Time On Thursday night we went to the disco. It was so exciting and there were other people from other schools there. It was in the sport’s hall and we went to meet new people and have fun. On the way there we sang songs and chants and took lots of photos. My friend got forced to dance with a boy! They did some very groovy moves, it was so funny! We loved doing the Macarena and we danced it differently. The boys were trying to get Elvis’ crown. (That was the nickname we gave one of the leaders as he looked like Elvis) We had such - Erin McGee

night!
There are just a few photos for you to see on here. You can find all the photos we took on the website.
We had such fun “ at Kingswood!
Zipwire Zipwire started with us scrambling up a tree as tall as a skyscraper. When we reached the top of the tree our hearts were racing because we were 5 metres off the ground. As we flew through the woods, we had enormous smiles on our faces. When we bounced down we still had that smile. Ruby exclaimed, “ I do not regret doing that at all!” Ruby Curtis
Campfire On Wednesday night we had a campfire with the whole of Year 4. It was lead by Josh,, Summer and Jake. They asked us to name it so we called it ‘Fire Ball’. We all shouted out “this is boss!” We then ate lovely popcorn and sang lots of repeat after me songs. Whenever you threw something in the fire the flames would go massive. When we gazed at the fire it made us relaxed and tired. After that we did rhymes, jokes and played some games before we went back to the huts. We felt really tired and saw a lot of bunny’s on our way back.—Daniel Ball
Night-line On Wednesday after a traditional dinner, we did nightline. There were 12 excellent children with amazing manners ready to take part. For this activity we were blindfolded so we couldn’t see a thing. On our way we sang a chant up the huge hill. We had to rely on each other to keep safe and talk to each other so we didn’t stumble. We had to conquer our fears to feel happy. We followed a rope through an obstacle course and sometimes crawled through tyres. We had a brilliant time. It was the most amazing holiday ever—Ryan Atwood
