Snow storm s depositing much new snow and later strong w inds defeated their attem pt to scale N epal Peak via its south ridge and then continue on to K irat Chuli (Tent Peak). K e­ fford, Kit Spencer and N igel W illiam s reached a high point o f 6735 m eters on N epal P eak’s south ridge on O ctober 15. This was the first attem pt on Nepal Peak since the 1939 G erm an-Sw iss attem pt from Sikkim . M
