The Immanuel Lutheran Knights earned third place in the recent Lutheran Middle School State Tournament. Playing six games in 48 hours the team easily won their first game before falling in overtime to Trinity Klein’s B team. That placed them in the silver division of the tourney. The Knights fought their way back to the semifinals of the silver bracket but lost a close game to Our Saviors Lutheran. That was the fifth game in 24 hours and the small roster was feeling the effects of all those minutes. After a night of rest the team came out strong on Sunday in the third place game. Despite losing Luke Lindner to injury and Georges Awad to fouls, the team came through in overtime to clinch third.
