KNIT SWIRL KNIT-A-LONG 2016: Events & Information
LYS Knit Swirl Trunk Show: Beginning March 9th we will have Cat Mountain Knit Swirl kits and a Trunk Show. Come see these beautiful hand dyed yarns made up into Swirls. Sandra McIver, Author and designer of the famous Swirl Coat will send her Trunk Show to LYS to premier at Yarn Fest and then return to LYS through April 23rd. Longmont Yarn Shoppe Swirl KAL Cast-On Party – Start Your Swirl: Saturday, April 23rd from 11:00 to 1:00pm. Knit Swirl KAL Sessions: Fourth Saturday of the month from 11 to 1pm – May, June and July 2016. Show n’ Tell – Friday Aug. 5th from 6:00 to 7:00pm. There is no charge to participate in the KAL- we want to help you have a successful Swirl, and welcome your visit to our shoppe! If you would like to participate in our Knit-a-Long we ask you to:
Call or Email us with your Name, Phone and Email so we can add you to the KAL roster.
Purchase or borrow a Knit Swirl book. LYS has copies on hand for purchase.
Choose your yarn and order in time for arrival well before the Cast On Party April 23rd. To participate in the KAL we ask that you use Longmont Yarn Shoppe yarn only- thank you for understanding.
Get gauge! This is the most crucial step in a successful Swirl Coat. You need to knit either a 8 X 8 inch gauge swatch or make a Swirl Cowl (pattern on the back of this page). With a solid gauge under your belt you should be ready to cast on at the Cast On Party.
