Stack the pieces on top of each other. Insert the bolt through the bottom hole of each piece. Secure with the nut on the back.

STEP 7
Spread your fan out, so that all pieces are spread evenly. To fasten the tops of the fan pieces with the ribbon, start by threading the ribbon through the top hole of one piece on the end. Make sure that even amounts of ribbon are on both sides of the hole.
Then, thread one end of the ribbon through the neighboring piece from the front to the back.
STEP 9
STEP 8 Thread the other end from the back to the front, crisscrossing the ribbon through the hole.
Continue crisscrossing the ribbon with one end going through the front and one through the back of each piece until all pieces are connected.
STEP 10 At the end of the last piece, flip the fan over and tie off the ribbon in a double knot and trim off the ends.
