Narrator: Annette Kramer, director of talent management at Vision Solutions, says that she hires interns the same way she hires full-time employees. She looks at their ability to learn. 3:30-4:10: Attitude and aptitude. I did not come up with that. I stole that from someone years ago, but what I’m looking for there is really someone who has the ability to learn, so it may not be the specific GPA, but that helps if they have a good GPA. But their ability to learn new technologies, and their attitude, are they wanting to learn new things. Are they open to learning new things. Are they excited about learning new things, because that’s really what we do. In technology, it changes every day. I cannot come in and have them trained and their off and running and that’s it, they never have to study again or learn anything new. They have to be constantly learning something new, so I’m really looking for people who want to grow and move in different directions in their career.
