Kyle Dunn PERSONAL INFORMATION
Born: March 4, 1968. Houston, Texas. Born Again: October 1979. College Park Baptist Church. Houston, Texas. Married to: Stacy Brazeal Dunn, since June 2, 1990. Kyle is the son of an oil executive and a school teacher. Born in Houston, his father’s work led to several moves between cities in Louisiana and Texas. Kyle became a Christian at age eleven and acknowledged God’s call to ministry at age sixteen. His undergraduate degree is from Baylor University where he met Stacy, his wife. His master’s degree is from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Immediately after college, Kyle led youth ministries with churches in Dallas, Texas; Sugar Land, Texas; and Overland Park, Kansas. After a decade pastoring teenagers, God arranged for an assignment pastoring college students and adults in Waco, where he has served for the last sixteen and a half years. He is the College Pastor and Teaching Pastor at Highland Baptist Church—a church of 1700. Recognized for passionate preaching and a shepherd’s heart, Kyle is a creative and fruitful pastor—leading a church-based college ministry of 700 students. He has served as a Community Group Leader for every Passion Conference since its inception in 1997. Kyle excels at leading teams and casting God-honoring vision. Stacy has taught math at a private Christian school in Waco for many years. Kyle and Stacy have three children. Their oldest, Joshua, is a student at Belmont University. Another son, Jacob, is a senior in high school. Their daughter Emily is a high school junior. Kyle enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching movies, reading, writing, and occasionally playing golf.
