THE MATCHUP WHEN/WHERE: 1 p.m. Saturday at Weiser Gym. RADIO/TV: On JOCK 98.7 FM, with Mike Edwards and Tom Ladd providing the commentary; the game will also be televised live by The Ozarks’ CW, with Ned Reynolds and Tom Mast calling the action. ON THE NET: Fans can follow the action through live, in-game statistics for all DU home games at www.drurypanthers.com. Due to the live TV coverage, there will be no webcast available for this game through pennatlantic.com. THE COACHES: Steve Harold is 43-11 in his second season at Drury and 305-117 in 14 seasons overall; Alan Eads is 88-99 in his seventh season at Missouri Science and Technology. THE SERIES: Drury leads 9-0, including a 77-63 victory in Rolla on Dec. 6. ABOUT THE LADY PANTHERS: Drury will celebrate Homecoming festivities, in addition to the annual “Pink Zone” day to promote breast cancer awareness, with a GLVC matchup against rival Missouri S & T. The Lady Panthers will attempt to bounce back from Saturday’s tough 90-86, double-overtime loss at Southern Indiana in which Drury rallied from a 17-point deficit in the final eight minutes of regulation, only to squander chances to win the game at the end of that period as well as the first overtime. Lindsay Ballweg had 24 points, Melanie Oliver posted her sixth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Ja’Nell Jones added 20 points and a career-high five steals for the Lady Panthers, who slipped to sixth in this week’s NCAA-II Midwest Region rankings as a result of the loss, as well as two games behind West leader Quincy in the loss column with only five league games left. Ballweg had a season-high 26 points in the first meeting with S & T, including a school record-tying seven three-pointers made (in nine attempts). She’s riding a string of 17 consecutive double-figure scoring games and leads the Lady Panthers with 14.8 points per game. Oliver adds 12.4 points and 8.2 rebounds, the latter good for second in the GLVC. Freshman guard Katie Pritchard has averaged 15.8 points over her last four games, in which she’s also hit 16 of 26 (62 percent) from behind the 3-point line. ABOUT THE LADY MINERS: Missouri Science and Technology has won four of its last five games, including an 85-56 romp over future GLVC member Illinois-Springfield Tuesday night in Rolla. In that game, the Lady Miners raced to a 40-19 halftime advantage and, for the game, outrebounded their visitors 53-30. Tamara McCaskill had 18 points and Katie McElrath added 10 points and nine rebounds for S & T. McCaskill averages 16.4 points and 6.1 rebounds to lead the Lady Miners, while McElrath chips in with 10.9 points and 5.8 boards for S & T, which - as usual - hung tough with the Lady Panthers until DU finished the game with an 11-2 scoring spurt in its 77-63 victory over the Lady Miners in early December in Rolla. McElrath had 17 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots to lead S & T in the loss. Drury beat the Lady Miners 89-75 at Weiser last season and 79-69 in overtime in Rolla in the memorable game in which the Lady Panthers rallied from nine points down in the final 28 seconds of regulation to force the extra period.

LAST TIME WE MET ...
Drury and Missouri S & T hooked on December 6 in Rolla, with the Lady Panthers coming away with a 77-63 victory in their GLVC opener. The Lady Panthers led 34-30 at the half and the game was tied at 54-all with just over eight minutes left when Drury put together a 9-0 run in a 1:48 span to gain some breathing room, keyed by 3-pointers from Ja’Nell Jones and Liz Moriondo. The Lady Panthers never got closer than five again from there, as DU put together an 11-2 run to finish the contest. Lindsay Ballweg tied a school record with seven 3-pointers (in nine attempts) and finished with a season-high 26 points to lead the Lady Panthers, who got 15 points and 11 rebounds from Melanie Oliver. Katie McElrath had 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocked shots to lead S & T.

TRENDS, STATS AND NOTES
GIVE ‘EM MEL ON THE BOARDS
Junior forward Melanie Oliver, the top returning rebounder in the league after grabbing 8.0 per game a year ago, pulled down a career-best 19 in a Jan. 15 victory over Indianapolis, the second highest single-game rebounding total in DU history (the record - 21 by Amanda Newton vs. Missouri Western on March 12, 2004). After grabbing 10 rebounds in the loss to USI Saturday, Oliver is now averaging 8.1 rebounds per game on the season, tied for second in the GLVC, and 9.3 boards per game in GLVC play, best in the league. Oliver, who transferred to Drury before her sophomore year from Glenville State, now has six doubledoubles on the season and 12 for her career. The Lady Panthers are 9-3 in games when Oliver reaches double-figures in points and rebounds, but had a seven-game winning streak in those situations snapped at Southern Indiana Saturday, dropping DU to 5-1 on the season when Mel goes double-double. Her 10 on Saturday now give Oliver 434 rebounds for her career, fourth on the DU charts. The top three are Amanda Newton (793), Jill Curry (785) and Kara Rutledge (535).
EARLY COMMITMENTS
Drury received signed commitments in November from two area high school standouts set to join the Lady Panthers in 2009-10. Bri Anton, a 5-10 senior guard from Ozark High School, and Abby Bracker, a 5-10 senior guard/forward from Nixa High School, both powers in the Central Ozark Conference, have announced they will play for Drury starting next season.

Three of the four came on the road, with the loss to NKU at Weiser by a 65-63 count in overtime. *Drury leads the GLVC in conference play in 3-point percentage at .423, in assists (17.8 per game) and in assist/turnover ratio (1.13). *Junior forward Lindsay Ballweg is eighth in the league in scoring in all games at 14.8 points per game, but fourth in GLVC-only games (17.6 per game). *The Lady Panthers are 10-1 this season when Shouse grabs five or more rebounds. *Ballweg is riding an 18-game streak of double-figure scoring efforts. *Drury is 19-4 in her career when Oliver grabs eight or more rebounds and 8-2 this season. *Since being shut out at Bellarmine on Jan. 22, the only time since the season opener she’s failed to score at least six points in a game, freshman guard Katie Pritchard has averaged 15.8 points in her last four games and hit an amazing 16 of 26 from 3-point range (62 percent). Pritchard has hit nine of her last 13 tries from behind the arc in her last two games.
