You’re buying more than land. You’re buying a place with a past. At MWV land sales, we are using what we’ve learned from decades of forest management to bring out the best in each tract. Whether your interest is recreation or investment, you’ll discover we offer some of the most beautiful and highest quality land in the country. Our land knowledge and stewardship are legendary, while our environmental responsibility is unmatched. Our land has a well documented history. And because we know, you’ll know.

This tract has more than 1.5 miles of frontage on Chambers County Highway 48, directly across the road from the 90+ acre Lafayette Reservoir. Finley Creek, which drains from the lake, runs through the middle of this property. Hillsides on both

sides of Finley Creek have vistas overlooking the lake. This is a great property to enjoy for hunting now, for homes ,cabins, or mini-farms, and with potential for subdividing .

This tract has a mixture of young, mid-age, and mature pine, more than 250 acres of hardwood, food plots, and many streams.

WHY BUY FROM MWV? There is a lot of land on the market, but there are good reasons for buying land from MeadWestvaco.  We are selling our own land—not someone else’s. We know it has been well cared for.  You will have private access from a public road; you won’t have to go through another property owner, and nobody else will have a right-of-way to go through you.  Gated entrance  Good roads and stream crossings within property  Clean property; you will not “discover” old piles of tires, shingles, batteries, or trash;  Boundaries are well established and painted, often with a firebreak around the perimeter  Good wildlife habitat - these tracts have been leased to hunt clubs for many years. Most have established food plots and many clubs have practiced Quality Deer Management techniques for years.  Potential timber revenue - all tracts have some commercial grade pine plantations capable of providing some cash flow; either now or in the future, from thinning or final harvest.  Consultation- if you would like some advice about how to manage or harvest your timber, our Foresters will be glad to get you started.
