Students all across Lakota will have the chance to share in the competitive spirit of this year’s East versus West rivalry football game and help their neighbors in need. The 5th annual REACH IN for REACH OUT LAKOTA food drive, hosted by the Lakota Board of Education, kicks off Monday, Oct. 28. The competition pairs Lakota East and Lakota West High Schools up with their respective feeder schools, allowing students in the early education schools all the way up through the high schools to participate. The Eastside vs. Westside district-wide competition benefits the community food and clothing pantry. Donations to either side’s efforts will be accepted at the school buildings throughout the week and on-site at the East vs. West game on Nov. 1.
