The program requires 30 credit hours, typically completed within two years. Students complete five core courses, five electives, and have the option to complete a 12-credit concentration in Writing and Rhetoric or Literature.

SCOTT ATKINSON, MA Scott Atkinson entered the MA in English Language and Literature with the dual goal to be a writer and a teacher. Over the course of his studies, he gained the experience as well as the degree he needed to secure a position teaching, while also pursuing his passion for writing.
