April 25th, 2014 Dear Miss Whittet: Within my role as an applied developmental psychologist and faculty member in Education at the University of British Columbia, I am in regular contact with hundreds of students each semester. My work with students is within the contexts of teaching, research, and advising. Thus, my observations of Lauren Nadalutti reflect my experience working with highly motivated students both in lecture halls and in my lab. I have known Miss Nadalutti since the Fall of 2012 when she volunteered to participate in a study I organized that brought therapy dogs to campus to work with firstyear university students. I have had almost weekly interactions with Miss Nadaluti since this time and can attest that she is personable and caring and has strong leadership skills. I note the mission of Get to Know has three foci: Connect, Create, and Celebrate. Within the context of working with children and facilitating their connection to nature and the outdoors, I see Miss Nadalutti possessing strong skills that would serve these missions well. Miss Nadalutti is an energetic and enthusiastic individual. She has a great sense of humour and this would serve her well in working with children. She is a creative individual and interacts easily with others. Within the context of our interactions at UBC I regularly see Lauren meeting new people and facilitating connections among students. Her enthusiasm of life is contagious and, in short, Miss Nadalutti possesses many traits that are in alignment with the nature of work you undertake as part of your organization. Should additional information on Miss Nadalutti be required, I may best be reached via email at:
